In this article, we will be taking a look at the new Artifacts & Masteries system for RAID: Shadow Legends. Artifacts and Masteries are special items, that have similar effects but different uses. You can equip artifacts and masteries by clicking on the gear icon next to a Hero’s HP bar, and this will boost that Hero’s stats.

Information about the champion Kaela
Kael is a powerful mage with lots of AoE and debuffs in the form of poisons.
Cael’s faction consists of dark elves, and his kinship is magical.
This is a rare offensive champion and one of four you can choose as your starting champion in the game.
Kael is widely considered to be the best starting pitcher, as he will be a big help to get through the game.
Given Kael’s strength, he is usually on the lists of the best champions in the game.
In combat, Kael has two AoE damage skills, one that damages all enemies and one that damages up to four enemies.
Kael’s kit revolves around his powerful AoE damage, as well as the powerful poison debuffs he throws at enemies.
Two of Kael’s skills have a chance to cast a poison debuff, including a second AoE skill that hits up to four enemies (hits 4 times randomly).

Attack one enemy. Causes a 2.5% weakening of [Poison] with an 80% chance for 2 turns.

This attack is Kael’s basic single target skill with no delay.
- Level 2: Damage +5
- Level 3: Buff/Debuff chance +10
- Level 4: Damage +5
- Level 5: Buff/Debuff chance +10
- Level 6: Damage +10%.
Acid rain
Attack all enemies. Has an extra 15% chance of causing a critical hit. Replenish this champion’s turn counter by 25% for each enemy killed.
Compensation is based on: ATK]
Kael’s strongest AoE attack, dealing damage to all enemies at once.

Resolve
He attacks four times at random. Creates a 5% [Poison] debuff for 2 turns with a 40% chance.

This skill attacks four times, but not necessarily four different targets.
If there is only one enemy left, this skill is also guaranteed to do quadruple damage, making it very powerful against bosses.

Aura
Increases an ally’s HP by 15% in all battles.
This aura only applies to allied champions if Kael is the leader of your team.
Status priority
There are several traits that significantly increase Kael’s overall damage.
Therefore, no single indicator should be preferred.
You need to make all of the following:
- Speed
- Precision Attenuation (CCA)
- Critical level
- Attack
These are Kael’s vital statistics.
You want to have a 100% critical rate when you max Kael at rank 6 in full progression.
All other parameters are great for Kael, but don’t focus on just one of them.
