In the past few months, there has been a new trend emerging in the gaming world and it’s called “Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games”. The genre is so popular these days that a new survey found that more than half of American adults play some kind of MMO game.

The first D&D game I ever played was Dark Alliance. It was a great game, and it captured the imagination of my friends and me for some time, but it was not without its problems. If you are still playing this game, you should know that there are some improvements that make this the best version of the game to date.

A future where a group of terrorists have taken over Washington D.C. is a chilling one. With a black helicopter flying over the White House, the president and vice president having been taken hostage, and a military colonel at the helm of the government, the impending doom of our nation is very real.

REVIEW– As the cooperative action RPG genre takes off, Wizards of the Coast is trying to get a leg up with Dungeons & Dragons:. Dark Alliance, on PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox Series. While on paper the promise of such a game in a universe as rich as D&D was enticing, in reality the result was far more contrasting.

Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance invites us to play as the iconic characters from the novels of R.A. Salvatore and travel to one of the many regions of this universe, namely the Forgotten Realms. After a short, rather stylish introduction video introducing the characters, the game asks us to choose one of four playable archetypes.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

Good intentions, poor play

Despite its good intentions, Dungeons & Dragons : Dark Alliance fails in its most important missions. The battles aren’t interesting enough to keep us in suspense, the levels all look the same and repetition is quickly felt. The few attempts to incorporate platforming and puzzles into the game do more harm to the game than anything else, because these passages are so unsuccessful. What’s left is a respected universe for fans of the license and a few good ideas (like campfires), but nothing that warrants your attention and money in a genre where there are already plenty of games.
