The World of Warcraft classic server, or Classic, was updated to patch 7.2.5 yesterday. In this guide, we’ll teach you how to upgrade your account to the new version of the game.

After the release of the latest expansion, Legion, World of Warcraft has been running on a pre-patch. As a result, there is a lot of people that are interested in mining in the new expansion, but unfortunately, they are running into many problems. This is why I have decided to create this guide, since I know that many people are going to be playing WoW Classic, and I want to make sure that they know how to mine efficiently.

As you may know, WoW Classic is coming and it contains all the old content that we have been waiting for.

Mining is one of the many professions you can master in World of Warcraft Classic. This profession is a good way to earn gold while leveling up if you want to sell ores at an auction. Combined with forging or engineering, you can greatly reduce the cost of these trades by smelting your own ingots. To improve your profession, you have to mine different ores, which is very different from modern WoW, where you can mine any ore in the game. If you need help choosing a location, we can help.

Mining Alliance Level 1-65

Since the starting areas are divided by faction, you can’t go to the same place as the Horde when playing the Alliance. So if you want to stay safe, try to stay in the launch areas. You will find many copper buttons, and in some places pewter buttons as well.

In comparison, sticking to these areas means: Darkshore, Dun Morgoch, Les Elwynn, Loch Modan and Westfall. We found that tubers usually occur on the outer edges of any area, especially near rocky areas or the coast. Be prepared to make your way through the area quickly, and you’ll finish this segment quickly.

Horde Mining 1-65

Like the Alliance, Horde players want to stay in their starting zone at the beginning of the level up. This means going to Durotar, Malgor, the Tirisfal Glades, the Barrens or the Silverpine forest. The first three locations are very rich in copper, but in The Barrens and Silverpine you’ll collect more tin.

Again, stick to the edges of the map and try to make a loop around the area you have chosen. This should prepare you well.

Contested alignment 65-300

Once you’ve completed the first few levels, it’s time to head to the contested areas. We break down each level according to the minerals you are looking for and give you a brief idea of the area you need to visit. As always, the same applies here: Choose a path and stick with it until you’re ready to move on.

  • Pewter/silver (65-125): We start in Hillsbrad Foothills or The Barrens, depending on which continent we started our journey on. There are numerous pewter buttons in both places. As you approach 125, you should work in the Redridge Mountains (northwest side) or in the Twilight Wood.
  • Iron/Gold (125-175): Here you can stay in Hillsbrad and head to the Yeti region in the north, but we recommend heading to the Alterac Mountains, the Arathi Highlands or the Wastelands for iron.
  • Mithril/Trues silver (175-250) : The west side of the Badlands is a good place to collect mithril deposits. You can also go to the burning steppes, to Tanaris or inland. Tanaris is probably the most common, but it’s the one we used the most.
  • Thorium (250-300) : Finally, you need to mine thorium to complete the vanilla levels. We like to use Winterspring because there are lots of nodes along the edges of the area. Other areas include Silitus, the Un’Goro crater and the eastern plaguelands.

The Burning Crusade Leveling 300-375

  • Iron (300-325) : On the Hellfire Peninsula, you’ll find a lot of iron buttons. Just loop along the edges of the area near the rocky areas and you’ll be done in no time.
  • Adamantite (325-350): You can use the Zangarmarsch or the Terokkarwald for this. Personally, we prefer Terokkar as it is easy to travel around in Auchindun and there are many junctions.
  • Abundant adamantite (350-375) : Although you cannot mine new ore until you reach 375 and have access to Chorium ore, we recommend switching to Nagrand once you reach 350. It’s much easier to penetrate and is filled with tons of mining nodes.

This way you can reach the maximum level quite quickly. Be sure to sell the ore or smelt it into ingots, which will help you in other professions.Congratulations on choosing a game that’s been around for over a decade and is still played by millions! While we all know the game WoW Classic needs to be played on private servers to avoid the many security issues it has. However, it’s much easier to fly around the world and mine the World of Warcraft Classic gold yourself.. Read more about wow mining guide shadowlands and let us know what you think.
